Liam Sweeney is Of Counsel with the Firm’s Philadelphia office. As part of the Firm’s EB-5 practice, Liam focuses on the preparation and filing of I-526 petitions, including the source and path of funds, for both regional center investors and individual investors. Liam also prepares responses to USCIS requests for evidence. Liam also prepares marriage-based immigration filings and naturalizations.
Prior to joining the firm, Liam had a diverse international career working in Dublin, Tokyo, and New York. In Dublin, Liam qualified as an Irish solicitor. He was employed in the financial services department of a large Irish firm, where he focused on cross-border financing schemes and sale leaseback transactions. In Tokyo and New York, Liam was Senior Counsel for a Japanese Sogososha (General Trading Company) where, aside from drafting and negotiating various contracts, he provided legal advice and risk analysis to the aircraft, marine, and chemical departments on issues ranging from project finance to the establishment of Sino-Japanese joint venture companies.
Liam received his Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School and his B.S. in Economics from Villanova University.
