Klasko Immigration Law Partners, LLP, is pleased to announce that Julianne Opet recently joined the Firm as an Associate. Julianne is resident in the Firm’s Philadelphia office and her practice is devoted to business immigration.
Julianne represents corporations and individuals seeking counsel on a wide range of employment-based matters, both immigrant and non-immigrant, with special focus on foreign investors, multi-national managers and executives, and persons who have achieved a high degree of professional success in the arts, sciences, manufacturing, architecture, technology and business. Julianne’s immigration approach is multi-faceted, bringing knowledge and experience handling a diversity of complex cases. She is well versed in EB-1 and EB-2/NIW immigrant petitions and O-1, L-1, E-2 and B1/2 nonimmigrant visas across several disciplines, but has also been successful preparing family-based petitions, applications for permanent residency and naturalization, VAWA petitions for victims of spousal abuse, removal defense and asylum claims, criminal and non-criminal waivers of inadmissibility, and filing for alternative relief for childhood arrivals and victims of violent crimes under the DACA and U-Nonimmigrant Visa programs, respectively. Julianne appears on behalf of clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Since joining Klasko, she has been a member of the firm’s EB-5 team filing applications on behalf of Regional Centers in their sponsorship of major investment projects.
Prior to practicing law, Julianne worked with leading policy institutes in Washington, DC to monitor foreign policy developments in regions of critical interest, and provide analytical resources to members of Congress and the U.S. intelligence community. She graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame (2008) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arabic Studies and Political Science, where she was also a member of the University’s Division 1 Track and Cross Country teams. Julianne earned her J.D. at Villanova Law School (2013), where she was awarded a Dean’s Merit Scholarship and served as Associate Editor of the University’s Environmental Law Journal. Julianne is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association – Philadelphia Chapter and the AILA Pro Bono Committee, and was appointed Co-Chair of the 2016 AILA Philadelphia Chapter Conference and CLE. Julianne is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.
