Fialkowski, Esq. recently participated on the panel entitled, “Drafting the ETA 9089 and BALCA – What Will Work – What does not” at the 2016 Advanced Corporate Immigration Conference. The day-long conference, presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, featured leading immigration attorneys and experts from across the United States. The panel covered key issues and trends with the PERM Labor Certification process, the key process for most employment based permanent residence/green card applications. Elise discussed hot topics and trends both in adjudication of the PERM applications by the Department of Labor and in recent case decisions by the Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals (BALCA) with co-panelists including Harry Sheinfeld from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Administrative Law Judges in Washington, DC.
