20th Anniversary Staff Feature: Dave Bridges

Dave Bridges has been with the firm since early 2004, just after the firm opened its doors. Dave is an accomplished Senior Paralegal and is well-known for his excellent client service and deep immigration knowledge. He’s a confident competitor and has won many of the firm’s games and competitions that are famously a part of the summer and winter events. Read below to learn more about Dave Bridges!

  • How long have you been at the firm?
I have been with the firm since March 2004.
  • What is your current role?
I am a Senior Paralegal. I work mainly with our pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare clients. I work on various visa types including L-1, H-1B, TN, E-2, E-3, etc. and green card applications including Multinational Manager petitions and PERM Labor Certification applications. My day-to-day consists of responding to emails, updating LLX, and preparing petitions/applications.
  • How has your job changed over the years?
I was initially hired as a Junior Paralegal and I have held various positions including Paralegal, Account Manager, and I am now a Senior Paralegal. When I was an Account Manager I managed about 4-5 paralegals for several years. Our technology and database systems have changed. When I first joined the firm we were using a DOS-based software called Immigration Aide to keep track of cases and to prepare forms. We then moved over to Immigration Tracker and now we utilize LawLogix. I believe when I was hired we only had about 30 employees and now we have over a 100.
  • What is your favorite memory from your early days at the firm?
My favorite memory is when I beat Ron Klasko at miniature golf at one of our summer events. He did not know that I played golf on my high school team.😊
  • What do you value most about working at KILP?
The ability to handle various types of visas and green card cases and the partners’ open-door policy to ask any questions. Having access to the partners has helped greatly in increasing my immigration knowledge. I also value that the firm has given me the flexibility to work from home as my wife has many health challenges.
  • What has been one of the more challenging times?
The start of the pandemic and the shutdowns have been the most challenging. It took me awhile to become accustomed to working from home but I now enjoy working from home and can’t believe I used to spend about 2 hours per day commuting.
