Klasko Immigration Law Partners, LLP is pleased to announce that Anusree (Anu) Nair was recently elected to partnership in the firm. Anu is head of the Investor Division of the firm’s EB-5 Practice.
As head of the Investor Division, Anu manages a team of attorneys, paralegals and administrative staff who prepare and file I-526 petitions and I-829 petitions, both through the regional center investments and individual investment opportunities. She has received over 600 I-526 Petition approvals for immigrant investors and obtained immigrant visas for investors at U.S. consulates around the world, including France, England, Canada, Oman, Japan, Mongolia, India, and China. Her command of investor-related issues has been recognized within the field and Anu is frequently called on to review I-526 petitions prepared by other firms engaged in EB-5 practice to ensure their own compliance with the extremely rigorous and ever-changing USCIS policies. She has reviewed over 300 I-526 Petitions prepared by other firms.
Anu has extensive experience in both employment-based and family-based immigration. She has represented hospitals, international record companies, multinational businesses, and major production companies in securing a variety of employment-based immigration benefits for their employees including E, H, L, O and P nonimmigrant visas as well as EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 immigrant visas. Anu also has experience with family-based immigration matters and has represented clients before the Immigration Court, the Citizenship and Immigration Service, and Customs and Border Protection.
Anu is a 2006 graduate of Baruch College where she majored in Biology. She went on to obtain her law degree in 2009 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she served as the Submissions Editor of the Cardozo Journal of Law and Gender. Prior to joining the Firm, Anu practiced with an immigration law firm in New York City and was an Adjunct Lecturer of Biology at Baruch College.
