20th Anniversary Staff Feature: Jackie Miranda

Jacqueline (Jackie) Miranda is another long-time staff member of 20 years! Jackie Miranda, like Carmen, worked with Ron Klasko and Bill Stock at their previous, general practice firm. She came with them to KILP (then KRSS) and the rest is history! For Jackie, the firm is truly a family, as her daughter is also a valued member of the KILP staff.

  • How long have you been at the firm?
It has been 20 years since I joined the Klasko family.
  • How did you come to work at KILP?
I was working at Dechert LLP in the Immigration Department together with the KILP founders.  In 2004, I was invited to join the firm, and I was happy to join KRSS, now KILP.
  • What is your current role?
My current role is Executive Assistant to Ron Klasko.
  • How has your job changed over the years?
My position has changed from Administrative Assistant to Executive Assistant supporting Bill Stock, Michele Madera and Andrew Zeltner and now currently supporting Ron Klasko, the Chairman himself.
  • What is your favorite memory from your early days at the firm?
One of my favorite memories from my early days at the firm is how Ron would walk over to our individual desks at mid-year and bring you a Christmas in July bonus wearing the biggest smile and a Santa hat.  This was special to many of us and remains one of many of my favorite memories.
  • What do you value most about working at KILP?
What I value at the firm is all the good work ethic that follows it and working with the most respectful and caring group of people.
  • What has been one of the more challenging times?
One of the most challenging times has been the pandemic. We lost connection to our Klasko family, and I thought for sure that the firm would have to lay off its staff.  The transition to work hybrid was not an easy one but we succeeded.  Our lives changed overnight, and we had to adjust fast. It was a very sad time for the world.
  • Anything else you want to share?
The firm has been a part of my life, like a family away from home but the pandemic changed how we connected with the world. The firm has tried everything they can to keep us connected whether celebrating uniquely via Zoom or in person whenever possible, sending us warm and caring gifts in times of need or just to show their appreciation for their employees. Klasko family never lost sight of how important it is to stay connected with its employees and continues to do so.
