F. Oliver Yang is a Senior Associate in the Firm’s Philadelphia office. As an emerging leader in the investment immigration industry, he advises entrepreneurial clients from all over the world in creating or investing in job-creating entities in the U.S. through the EB-5 visa program or the E-2 treaty investor visa. He also represents both individuals and corporations in a wide range of employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant matters, including H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, consular processing, and adjustment of status.
As an experienced EB-5 attorney, Oliver is involved in various stages throughout the EB-5 process, including the preparation and filing of I-526 petitions, filing a response to requests for evidence, preparing clients for consular processing interviews, and filing I-829 condition removal petitions.
Oliver also co-manages the firm’s E-2 visa practice and has extensive experience in preparing E-2 treaty investor visa applications, including obtaining the E-2 visa through a third-country CBI program. He has published an array of articles on emerging E-2 related issues, and successfully assisted clients in obtaining E-2 approvals from USCIS and various consulates.
Oliver is a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and uses his language skills and knowledge of Chinese culture to assist Chinese clients with all kinds of immigration matters. As an immigrant himself who came to the US as an adult, Oliver understands the issues and challenges faced by many new immigrants. He is known for his creative approach when handling challenging cases that require personal attention and meticulous representation. He is recognized in the 2021 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.
Oliver received his LL.B. from Renmin University of China Law School, where he served as the captain of the law school debate team. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a member of the Extramural Moot Court team and served on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Law & Politics.
